Problem Note 43829: The SAS® 9.3 Stored Process Server becomes unresponsive in some conditions

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In some situations, the SAS® 9.3 Stored Process Server becomes unresponsive and the affected SAS Stored Process server must be stopped at the operating system level in order to recover. Although there are various possible causes for the unresponsive condition, this problem often occurs under high–load conditions.

SAS® Integration Technologies customers who use SAS Stored Process Servers are required to apply the hot fix that is associated with this SAS note. Because there could be additional scenarios that are not addressed by this hot fix, you also should review the following 9.2 SAS notes which also apply to 9.3:

  • SAS Note 43160 "Tips for addressing unresponsive SAS® 9.2 Stored Process Servers, Part 1"
  • SAS Note 43163 "Tips for addressing unresponsive SAS® 9.2 Stored Process Servers, Part 2"

If the SAS Stored Process Server is still unresponsive after you have applied this hot fix and reviewed the preceding SAS notes, compile results from the tests and the log files that are referenced in the SAS notes and contact SAS Technical Support for further assistance.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
